The Type 42A Autopilot Test Set is used to test and troubleshoot a complete 200A (Type AF-295A or Type AF-295B) or 300A (Type AF-395A) Navomatic Autopilot.
It is capable of isolating a defective unit in either type of autopilot. Testing and troubleshooting can also be performed on an individual unit alone, such as computer amplifier, an actuator, a rate gyro, and a heading gyro (pick-off signal only). It can also be used for making adjustments to the CA-295A, CA-295B, and CA395A Computer Amplifiers.
